Math & Science

Today we did an investigation on Static Electricity.  Please ensure that your analysis/interpretation questions are ready to be handed in tomorrow.  Remember, you will have 10 minutes to work on your responses tomorrow in class.

Another review of adding polynomials & collecting like terms today.  We also introduced the concept of polynomial subtraction.

There will be a quick 8 question check in on Friday on adding/subtracting/simplifying polynomials.

Math & Science

Today we went over the Chemistry Unit Exam & Performance Based Assessments.  We had a mini-tutorial on balancing chemical reactions.

We also reviewed the quiz on adding polynomials/polynomial vocabulary.  There are many students that need to review this material as they are struggling with these fundamental concepts.  Thank you for attending to this very important review immediately.

Non-Fiction Quiz

We have a non-fiction reading comprehension test tomorrow in class to see where we are at.  It will be only 11 questions and a good benchmark as to see how effective we are at reading non-fiction as we start to prepare for our PAT exam.  No studying required.

Big Science Study Night Please

A big review was done today for Science.  2 exams on Thursday...format details discussed today.

Linear Relations exam handed back & reviewed & recollected today in class.

Have you practiced your speech?

Your speeches were due on Friday (which on a handful of you completed) and now you have the weekend to start practicing.  Have you read your speech to someone else, to yourself in the mirror, to your dog? Don't be unprepared for we will be presenting on Tuesday and you have a Chapter 5 exam on Monday!

Math/Science

Please start prepping for your unit exams (traditional multiple choice & PBA).  Exams will be Thursday, March 9th.

Please have completed for Monday:
-Chapter 7/8 work booklet (we will go over this & add to it so please ensure it is finished so you do not feel overwhelmed)
-finish lab analysis questions for the ionic vs molecular lab
-ensure that all naming/formulae worksheets are completed (these needed to be done early last week)

Please go back over your topics 1-3 assessment that was handed back & make sure that you can understand each question thoroughly now that you have had a few weeks of Chem since you wrote it.
