We Scare Hunger

We Scare Hunger: is a Halloween food drive to help food banks stock up on everything they need to fight hunger. If students are interested they could Trick-or-Treat for non-perishable goods. To help notify family, friends, and neighbors students can pick up a message from in front of Room 12 to hand out and explain why they are choosing to participate in We Scare Hunger. If not trick or treating, students can bring in food items and drop off in the office.

Math & Science check up

Hi Everybody,

Great work on the gizmo today...nice to check in with most of you around your math.

Math exam is next Wednesday after the long weekend & PARTY.  Multiple choice for symmetry & translations and written format for composite surface area.

You absolutely need a calculator for Math class...fancy that ;)  Phones will not be allowed for any unit exams.

Our new journals have arrived!!  Please bring your $5 if you received a new journal from the school.  Thanks for your prompt attention to this detail.

Let's leave the gizmo for now as Learn Alberta is password protected at home.  We can pick it back up as a review when we get to topic 6 near the end of Biodiversity.

Best choice tonight is to work on Math review.  I have just posted the chapter review & practice test on D2L under news as jpeg files.

Science quizzes look pretty good at first glance!

Please prep for your Math check in tomorrow.  Remember it is only on rectangular prisms & cylinders.  I hope you worked hard during class today with the hands-on examples.

Ensure that you are practicing cylinders with cylinders drilled out, rectangular prisms attached to other rectangular prisms...
